An inspiring picture of eight Black Belts and a Brown Belt at a Rickson Gracie seminar in the United States – hopefully this will be a picture of BJJ Lifestyle Team one day! Photo courtesy of http://www.mikecalimbas.com.

The BJJ Lifestyle Team will start training in September 2013, in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey . Focusing entirely on complete beginners from age 16 and upwards, the BJJ Lifestyle Team is aiming to become a close-knit team that will initially compete at White Belt level at competitions across the UK.

We will be focusing entirely on sport Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

If you would like to be part of the BJJ Lifestyle Team – please send your contact details using the form under the ‘Contact Us’ page in the menu above and you will be contacted with more details in late August.

The team will be led by Diccon Lynes who is a Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Leo Negao.

Leo is from Rio de Janeiro and is one of the best Black Belts in the UK – he has been a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt for over ten years. Leo will be visiting Kingston for occasional team training sessions and seminars.

The BJJ Lifestyle Team’s technical development will also benefit greatly from the occasional involvement of Lyubo Kumbarov. Lyubo is a 4 times Bulgarian National Freestyle Wrestling champion. Lyubo will be giving the team a great insight into Wrestling takedowns without the Gi.

Leo and Lyubo are both exceptional grapplers and excellent teachers who bring a relaxed approach to the way they teach.
