BJJ Lifestyle Team learn and practice Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from the Sea Cadets centre in Kingston. We’re right by the Thames, very close to Turk’s Launches and John Lewis – we are two minutes walk from Canbury Gardens – we’re directly behind TGI Friday’s.
We are a big team but would like more teammates – come and be part of things. There really are so many benefits to learning and practicing BJJ. As much as anything, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu will help you become fitter and more flexible – two aspects of overall health that make everyday life more enjoyable, too.
Our team is all about learning together, enjoying our training, being happy on the mat and looking forward to training sessions. Consistency brings the richest rewards in all ways – finely tuned skills, comradeship, discipline and the health benefits derived from a physical activity.
Our training is geared towards realism, but there is no striking and training is progressive. We are creating a number of sub teams within our team, so the people you train with are likely to be in your weight category.
Competition training is available but there is no requirement to compete in competitions if you don’t want to. Our style is very much welcoming, we want people to enjoy training with us on a long-term basis – we strive to look after people, particularly those that are a bit nervous and don’t know what to expect. We want people to enjoy training with us and we want them to come back.
