Enjoyed very much our second children’s and teenagers’ BJJ lesson at BJJ Lifestyle Team in Kingston. Great to see a new team member (!) – our kids BJJ lesson takes place on Thursdays at 5.45-6-45.
Lesson plans are being formulated with a strong emphasis on ground based self-defence. With time, we will be grading our junior team as their skills develop.
This week’s lesson focused on how to fall backwards safely, how to arm drag to get behind someone and a simple way to get the person on the ground with no use of strength.
We finished the lesson off with a recap of last week’s lesson – looking again at the bridge and roll to escape if someone is sitting on your chest – all valuable skills.
