You can learn the Kimura and all the other main submissions at Kingston BJJ. We spend a great deal of time studying in great detail, all of Jiu Jitsu’s core submissions.
This means, Kingston BJJ’s students have a deep understanding of how to apply the Kimura and what makes each submission truly effective.
LEARN QUICKLY WITH OUR TEACHING METHODOLOGY
As an example, we spend approximately twelve hours learning and applying a single Jiu Jitsu submission. The benefit of this is that at the end of our twelve technical BJJ lessons, people really do have a strong grasp of what they have learnt. They are able to map that over to a live environment, with success.
Jiu Jitsu is fascinating and there are many details to each technique.
When teaching Jiu Jitsu at Kingston BJJ, we introduce a submission and learn it at a foundational level. We then refine it and make adjustments. We put volume into our repetitions and move ourselves to a point where we have created a new behaviour. This leads to automation. When you learn the Kimura at Kingston BJJ, you will have a global picture. This enables you to gain enough flight time to recognise when an opportunity to apply a submission arises in the moment. Subsequently, you also gain great submission defence awareness.

There are so many elements to the Jiu Jitsu learning process, so many stages. It takes time to train your body but also your mind, repetition is critical.
